Yoga4Wellness© is the first Canadian program of its kind, a unique Yoga program for better mental, physical and social health. Created by expert Yoga Teachers and Yoga Wellness experts, this ensures that the Yoga4Wellness© program is of the highest standard and sensitive to your needs. A part of our Healing Yoga project, it is many useful and effective programs rolled into one!

The work on health conditions that are helped by Yoga has just exploded during the last decade. On the last count, more than 150 diseases had been documented to be helped by Yoga, as proven by the numerous Randomized Controlled Trials, considered the gold standard of scientific research in the west. There are many ongoing studies in which only preliminary data is yet available; once those studies are concluded, this list will grow further. In India, especially in Yoga communities, we’ve always believed that there is no disease, with a name or still without it, that cannot improve with Yoga! We’ve been working with these techniques for decades with exactly that tenet as our guide and the journey has been nothing less than exhilarating.

Based on effective practices in Yoga – the original mind-body science, Yoga4Wellness© is a specialized Yoga program designed by experts to help improve health and well-being in a supportive environment. The significance of Yoga in health and disease is universally applicable, rather, it has become a necessity. A positive attitude and a peaceful mind are conducive to healing and happiness in health or disease. Yoga4Wellness© brings to you the benefits of this ancient practice with modern scientific evidence.

In addition to being relevant in all the diseases mentioned above, it is designed especially for people with sub-clinical and borderline health issues, as a way to support behavior change, reduce social isolation and provide an effective self-care intervention to encourage better health and well-being. As research has shown, a well-structured Yoga program can help improve almost any health condition, mental or physical. It also prepares you for intense practices of the more advanced programs. Yoga4Wellness© program has uniquely been created to lower stress, improve focus and relaxation skills (thus improving mental health), and help people with prediabetes or those at risk of heart disease and stroke, other mild manifestations of metabolic syndrome and more. The Yoga4Wellness© program can help you in any of the following situations:

  • Location: In person at the Studio (Group or Private sessions), or online (Private sessions)
  • Format: 10 Group Practice Weekly Sessions of 1 hour duration each + Discussion at the end of sessions
  • Cost: $550* in group sessions
  • Days & Time: Workshop starting on:
    • January 10, 2020, at 8 am
    • April 3, 2020, at 8 am
    • July 3, 2020, at 8 am

  • Commitment:
    • A firm commitment to complete the program without missing any session (except in an emergency). Missed sessions will not be compensated.
    • In addition to the sessions, you should also follow the routine at home.
    • To evaluate the progress, you’ll be required to answer some questions about your health before you start, during the program and afterwards. Your personal details will be kept private and confidential at all times.
    • At the end of the program, you can sign-up for the optional follow-up program. Continue the practice for better results.

Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat, a pen and journal. You may bring a blanket for cushioning as we will be lying on the mat during part of the class. Class is limited, so register early. Class not appropriate for pregnant women. For people with full-blown illnesses, we offer separate specialized programs.
