He is also a registered Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP). He also holds the highest levels of designations in Ayurveda, Yoga and Yoga Therapy with Worldwide Yoga Alliance, Canada.

An advanced registered practicing yoga teacher and yoga therapist, Jitender K Sahdev is an E-RYT 500 (Yoga Alliance, USA) with over 51,000 hours of Traditional Yoga teaching experience. A Surgeon by profession from India with almost three decades of experience in Modern Medicine, he has a lot of experience in utilizing Yoga as a complementary as well as a stand-alone therapy for optimizing health and wellness of his clients and for easing symptoms associated with various disease-processes. He was first introduced to yoga at the age of 4 and trained under doyens of Yoga in India for almost four decades. He has spent all these years learning yoga, pranayama, meditation, Ayurvedic abhyanga, gharshan, foot massage (Kerala massage), marm bindu massages, shatkarma at various schools, Yoga camps and ashrams in India. He completed his M.B.,B.S. degree in 1987 and has worked as a surgeon since. He also completed his Fellowships in Surgery and Surgical Oncology.

He has been honoured by various national and international organisations for his work in the field of Medicine. He also studied alternative methods of treatment and completed D.Sc. and Ph.D. in Alternative Medicine. He has a lot of experience in alternative methods like Homoeopathy, Acupuncture, Acupressure, Ayurveda, Meditation, Sujok therapy, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Colour therapy, Music therapy, Shiatsu, Reiki, Tai Chi, Laughter Yoga, Thai Massage and Bowen Therapy. In the lineage of Swami Dayananda, he trained under many famous yogis; some of his training was received under Swami Devvrata Acharya and Swami Ram Piara ji’s guidance.

He looks at modern medicine and Alternative methods of therapy as complementary instead of being mutually exclusive. He established CAT (Combined Approach Treatment) Clinic in 1993, a formal vehicle for the expansion of his healing approach using the integration of the best of Modern Medicine with Mind-Body Medicine and other natural and alternative healing traditions, especially for treatment of chronic/ intractable diseases, at his own health facility ‘Sahdev Medicare Clinic‘ in India, and has an invaluable and abundant wealth of practical experience in this field. Being an accomplished surgeon, scholar, poet, author, freelance medical writer, a celebrated and one of the much sought-after yoga teachers in India, singer, congo, bongo and drums-player, orator, debator, sportsperson, academician, certified computer programmer, dancer, researcher, skater, President’s Scout and painter, he could decipher the unity in diversity. He considers yogic way of life essential to the achievement and maintenance of complete and optimum all-round health.

He has a vast experience in teaching groups, with a focus on positive health, as well as one-on-one session addressing various diseases. On a regular basis he offers services and workshops on specific health issues with special emphasis on Disease Reversal with Yoga.

Sumita Sahdev

02-YA-TEACHER-ERYT-500Sumita Sahdev has been accredited with the highest level of study at the Yoga Alliance, achieving the 500-hour designation. She is an advanced certified yoga teacher and an E-RYT-500 (Yoga Alliance,USA). She also completed Yoga Therapist 2000 hours course and has a lot of experience in Yoga/ Ayurvedic massages. One of very talented yoga teachers, she teaches Yoga/ Ayurvedic / Vegetarian Cookery classes at SAVY Studio. Her style of yoga embraces a gentle, caring and intuitive approach. She puts a lot of emphasis on safety and comfort of students. She began her journey into yoga at a very young age, when she was initiated into yoga by her father. A champion swimmer and gymnast, her interest deepened further and she completed a 500 hours course in India. Since then she has been teaching yoga regularly. She also teamed up with Dr Jitender K Sahdev in yoga therapy sessions for the treatment of various diseases for a long time. She brings with her the essence of the ancient and authentic discipline of Yoga. She enjoys every hour of teaching and looks for opportunities to share the abundance of information and experience she holds. Sumita teaches ongoing classes in diverse settings such as the workplace, private homes, condominiums and community centers. She has taught seniors, children, athletes, pregnant women, mother and baby classes and yoga for people with diverse medical problems. In addition to her classes, Sumita offers workshops and retreats. She believes that yoga strengthens the body and mind through asana, pranayama, and meditation. Sumita Sahdev mentors students in the Home Study programs and Professional Yoga Teaching programs. In addition to teaching yoga classes, Sumita also had a private yoga practice at Sahdev Medicare Clinic.

 

Priyanka Sahdev

Priyanka fell in love with Yoga years ago, completed a 250 hour course in 2005 in India and hasn’t looked back since. She completed a 500 hour course in 2010. She achieved the designation E-RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance, USA with over 2,000 hours of Traditional Yoga teaching experience. A Biotechnology graduate and a culinary expert, she has also completed Yoga Therapist-2000 hours course and teaches Yoga/ Ayurvedic/ Vegetarian Cookery classes at SAVY Studio. Today, she truly believes that the busier your life, the more you need yoga. Balancing and flexibility used to mean juggling studies, various arts she is interested in, especially culinary excursions, and her interest in yoga. She grew to learn that practicing yoga completely spills over into your life in the most fantastic ways. It is truly a practice for the mind, body and spirit. Her style of teaching is as sincere and thorough as it gets. Priyanka teaches ongoing classes in diverse settings. She has taught seniors, children,athletes, pregnant women, mother and baby classes and yoga for people with diverse health problems. In addition to her regular yoga classes, Priyanka assists Dr Jitender K Sahdev in his Yoga Therapy sessions.

Abhinav K Sahdev

Abhinav K Sahdev has been accredited with the E-RYT 500 level of yoga study at the Yoga Alliance, USA with over 2,000 hours of Traditional Yoga teaching experience. Abhinav saw yoga all around him while growing up and fell in love with Yoga years ago, completed a 250 hour course in 2005 in India and has been developing more interest in yoga since. He completed a 500 hour course in 2010. An avid science student, he has also completed Yoga Therapist-2000 hours course. He loves the calmness, solitude and quiet yoga has to offer. Though finding it difficult to escape his equally strong interest in computers and all its repercussions, and biological and other sciences, he manages to find time to twist and stretch and to teach others to do the same. He believes that it is truly a practice for the mind, body and spirit. Abhinav has been teaching ongoing classes in diverse settings. He has taught teens, young students ,children, athletes, weight lifters and yoga for people with diverse health problems. In addition to his regular yoga classes, Abhinav assists Dr Jitender K Sahdev in his Yoga Therapy sessions.

 

 

Vibhuti Sahdev

YA-TEACHER-ERYT-500With all her family involved in stretching, twisting and making all kinds of crazy poses, and mentoring others do the same on a daily basis, it was more of a kind of no escape immersion course for her. She had to fall in love with yoga quite early and completed a 250 hour course in 2007 in India. She was also awarded E-RYT 500 designation by Yoga Alliance, USA and is a very young registered yoga teacher already with over 2,000 hours of Traditional Yoga teaching experience. A science student at University of Western Ontario, She has also completed Yoga Therapist-2000 hours course. Her style of teaching yoga is quite chirpy and imaginative and her students love her way of teaching. Exhibiting excellence in studies and all the rest she attempts, she believes that yoga helps her avoid stress of expectations that everyone seems to have from her. Being a multi-faceted personality, she finds yoga helpful in unwinding and shaking off stress. Vibhuti teaches ongoing classes in diverse settings and loves the learning teaching has to offer. She has taught seniors, children,athletes, pregnant women, mother and baby classes and yoga for people with diverse health problems. In addition to her regular yoga classes, Vibhuti also assists Dr Jitender K Sahdev in his Yoga Therapy sessions.
