VEDIC MEDITATION FOR BEGINNERS

By the end of Vedic Meditation For Beginners course, you’ll learn:

- The skills you need to continue practice – no need for silent spaces, or big chunks of time

SESSION 1
INTRODUCTORY SESSION: In this hour-long group session we’ll talk about:
- Who we are and why we teach meditation
- Basic Principles of Meditation
- Benefits of meditation
- What science says about meditation
- Why Vedic Meditation works
- Why SAVY’s Vedic Meditation is different
- How long do we meditate
- How to get started
- Q & A session
SESSION 2
Introductory Session is followed by three, One-on-One sessions. Sessions are around one-hour long, but keep some more time free to allow for more practice/ explanation, if required. You’ll meditate right on the very first day. Changes happen right away.
In this session, you’ll receive personal instruction in Vedic Meditation, learn your ‘seed’ and receive instruction on how to use it. You will also experience your first meditation practice using your ‘seed’. You’ll be guided into your first meditation by your teacher. This will make it easy for you to reach a deep meditative state. Choose session timings from early morning until evening as per your convenience & availability.
SESSION 3
In this session, you’ll get the low down on how to meditate with confidence and integrate this practice into your daily life. You’ll learn more about how to use your ‘seed’ and experience the benefits meditation creates for the mind and body. You will access a deep place of rest, during which all systems within mind, body and nervous system can truly repair and rejuvenate. Feel the benefits as layers of stress, exhaustion, and emotion are peeled away. Learn about the essential principles. You will have an opportunity to share your experience and get answers to any questions you have. The session concludes with a guided meditation.
SESSION 4
In the final session, we’ll help you refine your practice and understanding of the technique. Learn practical ways to maximize the impact of this technique in your own life with guidance on dealing with day to day stressful moments. You’ll also learn about the higher states of consciousness accessible through the regular daily practice of meditation. To monitor improvement, you’ll be guided on how to keep record of your progress.

- Commitment:
- A firm commitment to complete the program without missing any sessions (except in an emergency).
- In addition to the classes at studio, you should also follow the routine at home.
- At the end of the program, continue the same practice at home for better results or sign-up for further training. You’d experience the benefits if you practice regularly.

GROUP MEDITATION
In addition to your 20-minute daily practice at home, we strongly recommend attending Group Meditation sessions at least once every month or more frequently. These Group Meditation sessions are led by well-trained Meditation teachers and are open only for meditators who have attended Vedic Meditation For Beginners course. Attend these regularly to stay on track. The group sessions may also involve discussion about the technique and the effects you notice.
